Headline: Thailand’s Gongkan Mounts New Exhibition “POLLUTION” in Rivercity Bangkok

Regarded by millennials as one of the most influential Thai artists of their generation, Kantapon Metheekul or @Gongkan makes headlines every time he opens a new exhibition. In less than 2 months, he will be mounting a brand new exhibition in Rivercity Bangkok. The new artistic venture is named “POLLUTION” and is a collaboration with his artist and photographer comrade, Naraphat Sakarthornsap.

For those not in the know, Gongkan was selected to illustrate and create the artwork that portrays the lyrics to the latest single Scars by the pop-soul hybrid extraordinaire, Lukas Graham. Their record label, Warner Music, invited artists from around the world to create artwork to reflect the song’s lyrics. From Southeast Asia, they selected Gongkan for this special music project.

With a strong background in art and 4 years of experience in top advertising agencies,
Kantapon’s creativity extends from advertising to digital art to fine arts. His innate ability to create various styles of works have won him many advertising awards across the world from Cannes Lion to Clio and Spikes Asia.

Obsessed with arts, Kantapon finds inspiration in his hand-drawn illustrations in everyday
life, fashion and people’s relationship.

POLLUTION opens in Rivercity Bangkok in June. Stay tuned!
