Blue Elephant is an institution in Thailand. The flagship restaurant and cooking school is in a regal house on Sathorn Road, right next to Eastin Hotel and the Surasak skytrain.
The restaurant is founded by Thai cuisine master @chefnooror who is indeed a household name here. She is revered by many chefs and food enthusiasts. The awards won are displayed on the walls in one quadrant of this beautiful and storied house.

Nowadays, Blue Elephant rolls out lunch sets that offer great value for a quick and effortless lunch. Sets begin from 580 Baht. We came for both lunch and dinner and here are the highlights:

The scallop dish deployed black garlic and its multitude of health benefits. The signature Blue Elephant Pork Ribs came with a refreshing papaya salad and rice. The rice stole the show alright, it was equally divine, if not more: cooked with so much care and a dose of fresh coconut milk. Stellar!

The chicken soup was also a masterpiece for culinary books aplenty. We were told that Chef Nooror takes this hearty soup to cure a heavy head or a long day. Rejuvenation in a bowl. Or two…

Gigantic prawns had a touch of truffle for innovation and it uplifted this dish. Next memorable moment was the fiery crab curry from the southern region of Thailand. The equilibrium of flavours was truly a work of art. One can only applaud Chef Nooror and her culinary team.

End on a sweet note with their famous custard and also Belgium chocolate creation, a recipe brought back from their restaurant in Brussels. Blue Elephant started humbly in Copenhagen before opening up in Brussels, Paris and London, just to name a few.

A great meal with a greater success story. We love every moment and look forward to returning.
