“Soufflé and Me”: The Hidden Soufflé Destination in Bangkok

if you love soufflé, this place is a must.

You don’t often find soufflé on the menu at Western or even French restaurants in Bangkok. But at Soufflé and Me, located in a charming white Thai-style house surrounded by lush greenery in Soi Narathiwat 24 (just minutes from Sathorn Road), soufflé is the star of the show.

Helmed by Chef Gai – Thanya, who fell in love with soufflé during her time in France, the restaurant offers more than 20 different soufflé menus — both savory and sweet. After honing her craft abroad, Chef Gai returned to Bangkok with a mission: to share authentic French-style soufflé with Thai diners.

“Soufflé takes time and care to prepare. It’s lighter than bread, easy to eat, but rarely found in Thailand. I want people here to enjoy soufflé as they do in France,” Chef Gai explains.

To create a truly memorable experience, Chef Gai serves her soufflés in fine-dining style — luxurious, but still accessible in both taste and price. The challenge? Serving each soufflé at the perfect temperature and texture — warm, fluffy, and just right. And she nails it.

What We Tried — And Loved

Let’s explore the standout dishes, where presentation and flavor go hand in hand. From refreshing appetizers to indulgent desserts, everything was crafted with intention.

Tuna Niçoise Salad (360 THB) A light and refreshing starter, served with a generous portion of tuna, green beans, soft-boiled eggs, and mixed vegetables. The tangy dressing brings everything together beautifully.

Chef Gai’s Filet Mignon (860 THB) Juicy tenderloin wrapped in bacon and grilled to perfection, paired with a rich herb sauce that’s both fragrant and flavorful.

Crispy Duck Salad with Orange and Honey Dressing (380 THB) Crispy duck meets sweet citrus — a playful contrast of textures and bright, balanced flavors.

Spaghetti “Pla Slid” (340 THB) A Thai twist! Stir-fried spaghetti with Pla Slid (fermented fish), garlic, and dried chili. Mild yet aromatic, it hits the spot without overwhelming the palate.

Roasted Barramundi with Fondue of Leeks (460 THB) Sea bass cooked until tender, served with creamy leek fondue. Elegant and undeniably French in execution.

Cold Angel Hair Pasta (460 THB) A must-try. Delicately chilled pasta tossed in a ginger-lemon sauce, topped with ikura, ebiko, and a glossy organic egg yolk. A standout dish in both taste and appearance.

The Soufflé Highlights Of course, we can’t talk about “Soufflé and Me” without diving into the soufflés. These are the ones we absolutely recommend:

Foie Gras Soufflé (480 THB) Savory, luxurious, and impossibly soft. This foie gras soufflé melts in your mouth and carries a depth of flavor that lingers.

Truffle Soufflé with Mushroom Cream Sauce (390 THB) Soft, fluffy, and infused with the aroma of truffle. Paired with a creamy mushroom sauce that brings everything together perfectly.

Nutella Soufflé with Grilled Caramelized Banana (260 THB) A dream for dessert lovers — warm chocolatey soufflé meets golden caramel bananas. Comforting and satisfying to the last bite.
