The restaurant is located within the new Novotel Suites on Sukhumvit Soi 34, on the ‘other side’, – the even side of the Sukhumvit thoroughfare. This is within the Thonglo ‘hood and is a worthy destination for brunch ala Europe. Welcome to White Shuffle
For Chef Yannick Hollenstein, this is his first venture in Bangkok. He landed here to seek inspiration in Thai cooking, another stripe to add to his long list of achievements in Michelin rated restaurants across Europe. With experience in his native Switzerland, France & Spain, the future is neon bright indeed.
Chef Yannick joined the team in the early development stages of White Shuffle’s conception. With the trust and guidance of Chef/Owner Khun Krisda (Nick) Chintakananda, Chef Yannick has developed a powerful ability to convert homely dishes into fine and often fun plates.
We sampled the classic Swiss Breakfast Roesti – a hearty combination of crispy smoked bacon, maple and bacon sausage, emmental cheese and fried egg. The potatoes on the side were unique and ever so delish. Order a few other dishes, as a great brunch is worth sharing. We also recommend the Kurobuta Pork – the accompanying spinach & black olives gnocchi should be made a separate dish in itself. Ohh, so good!
Wash it all down with a selection of milkshakes and take note – the brunch is an all-day menu. Wake up late, waltz in at 4pm on weekends – all is good as every hour is brunch hour here. There are also plans to roll out dinner menus very soon, showcasing Chef Yannick’s continental Europe experience. The restaurant is an ideal spot to ‘gram as well, especially the outdoor seatings with resort feels and calm greens.
What is brunch without French Toast? Here, it is elevated with Wagyu beef, gracing their homemade brioche. And black truffle mayo to finish. #goals… They have croissants too, so what are you waiting for?
