Escape to the Hills of Ratchaburi

If you’re craving a peaceful weekend escape that feels like a world away — without the need for a passport — let us introduce you to LA Provence, a charming hillside retreat in Suan Phung, Ratchaburi, where French countryside vibes meet Thai hospitality.

A Slice of Southern France in Thailand
Inspired by the picturesque region of Provence, France, LA Provence was born from the owner’s deep love for the area’s romantic scenery and architecture. After a life-changing trip to Europe, the dream of bringing that tranquil experience to Thailand became reality. Since opening in 2013, LA Provence has offered guests an intimate, Provencal-style escape surrounded by lush mountains and natural beauty.

Cozy Villas with a View
The resort features just 16 villas, each uniquely decorated but categorized into two types: Superior Villa and Deluxe Villa. All villas are a spacious 50 sqm, but the Deluxe option comes with a bathtub — perfect for soaking in warm water while admiring the serene view outside.
Whether you’re traveling solo, with a partner, or planning a laid-back group retreat, the private and quiet setting makes this an ideal hideaway.

Peace, Nature, and Absolutely No Rush
Located about 20 minutes from the popular Oh Poi Market, LA Provence is tucked away far enough to guarantee peace and quiet. You won’t hear the buzz of traffic or nightlife here — just the sounds of birds, the rustle of leaves, and the gentle flow of a nearby stream.

Spread over 84 rai (approx. 33 acres), the property is not only spacious but thoughtfully designed. Enjoy a swim in the outdoor pool, sip a drink on your villa’s rooftop terrace, or dine at the resort’s charming restaurant — inspired by classic European chapels.

The surrounding landscape is nothing short of breathtaking. Think endless green hills of the Tanaosri mountain range, the flowing Lam Pha Chi River, and the untouched greenery of Sirikit Forest Reserve. If you’ve been needing to hit the mental reset button, this is your place.

Inside Our Stay: The Lavender Villa
On our visit, we stayed in Villa No. 4, Lavender — a sweet, romantic space decorated in soft purples, complete with a queen-sized bed, hairdryer, mini bar, coffee machine, fridge, TV, Wi-Fi, and a personal safe.
The real highlight? The rooftop terrace. Not just for decoration — this space is perfect for stargazing or enjoying your morning coffee as the sun rises over the hills.
Room rates during our September stay ranged from THB 2,300 – 2,500 per night, which is incredibly reasonable given the ambiance and amenities offered.

Morning Markets and Late Breakfasts
Planning to visit Oh Poi Market? Go early — the market’s unique monk almsgiving on bamboo rafts happens around 7:30 – 8:00 a.m. It’s a rare and peaceful experience you won’t want to miss. From the resort, it’s about a 20-minute drive (allow extra time on weekends due to crowds).
Don’t worry about rushing back — breakfast at LA Provence is served until 10 a.m. It’s homemade, hearty, and feels just like having breakfast at a friend’s cozy home in the French countryside.

Close to Bangkok, Far from the Noise
Suan Phueng is only about 2.5 to 3 hours’ drive from Bangkok, making it a perfect weekend getaway. You don’t need to plan extensively or take time off work. After check-out, you can even swing by a Ratchaburi café or enjoy lunch in town before heading back to the city — minus the traffic chaos of Hua Hin or Khao Yai.
LA Provence Suan Phueng – A Retreat Worth Discovering
Sometimes, the best getaways don’t require long flights or complicated plans. Sometimes, all you need is a change of scenery, fresh air, and a bit of quiet to remember what true rest feels like.
LA Provence Suan Phung isn’t just a resort — it’s a gentle reminder to slow down, breathe deep, and reconnect with yourself.
