Royal Orchid Sheraton Bangkok Ranked Top Meeting Hotel in Asia Pacific

Riverside luxury hotel earns global recognition from Cvent for meetings and events excellence

Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Hotel Bangkok has been named the No. 17 Top Meeting Hotel in Asia Pacific by Cvent, one of the world’s leading event technology platforms. The recognition comes from the prestigious Cvent Top Meeting Hotels list, a global ranking that highlights hotels delivering outstanding group experiences, exceptional planner collaboration, and high-performing event services.

This marks the second consecutive year the Bangkok riverside hotel has secured a place among Asia Pacific’s leading meeting and event destinations, reinforcing its growing reputation in the global MICE industry.

Located along the iconic Chao Phraya River, Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Hotel Bangkok continues to position itself as one of Thailand’s top venues for corporate meetings, conferences, incentive travel, and large-scale events. Following a major transformation of more than 2,800 square meters of event space, the hotel now offers upgraded facilities designed to meet the evolving needs of international event planners and business travelers.

One of the hotel’s standout features is the Royal Orchid Sheraton Ballroom, a 985-square meter venue that accommodates up to 1,150 guests. The ballroom is equipped with Bangkok’s widest 22-meter 8K LED screen, creating a high-impact setting for conferences, product launches, gala dinners, and corporate presentations.

For smaller events and private gatherings, the Riverside Ballroom offers a more flexible setting. Spanning 493 square meters, the venue can host up to 320 guests and can also be divided into multiple sections for workshops, executive meetings, or breakout sessions.

Beyond its advanced meeting facilities, the hotel’s riverside location remains a major draw for event organizers seeking a unique Bangkok experience. Outdoor spaces overlooking the Chao Phraya River provide a scenic backdrop for networking events, cocktail receptions, and evening functions, combining business with the city’s signature hospitality atmosphere.

Kristian Petersen, General Manager of Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Hotel Bangkok, described the recognition as an important milestone for the hotel and its team.

“Being recognized as a Top Meeting Hotel in Asia Pacific by Cvent for the second consecutive year is a tremendous honor and a meaningful reflection of our team’s commitment to delivering exceptional meetings and events experiences,” he said.

He added that the hotel continues to evolve its event offerings through versatile riverside venues, seamless collaboration with planners, and personalized service tailored to today’s corporate and incentive travel market.

Cvent executives also highlighted the significance of the ranking within the highly competitive meetings and events industry. Graham Pope, Vice President of Hospitality Cloud at Cvent, noted that hotels included in the annual list are recognized for their ability to prioritize event planners, respond efficiently to RFPs, and deliver exceptional group experiences.

According to Bharet Malhotra, Executive Vice President of Cvent, the rankings are based on more than US$20 billion in group business sourced through Cvent’s platforms in 2025, making the list one of the industry’s most reliable indicators of real market demand and planner preferences.

Today, nearly 160,000 event professionals worldwide use Cvent to source hotels, venues, and destinations for meetings and events, making the annual Cvent Top Lists one of the most influential benchmarks in the global hospitality and MICE sectors.

With its upgraded event spaces, world-class technology, prime riverside location, and internationally recognized service standards, Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Hotel Bangkok continues to strengthen its position as one of Bangkok’s leading luxury meeting hotels.
