Standard International, the pioneering lifestyle and hospitality management company known for its expanding, global portfolio of The Standard, Bunkhouse and The Peri Hotel brands, announces The Peri Hotel, Bangkok Sukhumvit, the most recent development in the extensive growth plan for The Peri brand across Asia and Australia.
Located in the heart of Bangkok, The Peri Hotel, Bangkok Sukhumvit, joins the two existing Peri Hotels, The Peri Hotel, Hua Hin and The Peri Hotel, Khao Yai, and will be operated by the world-class management team behind the very successful The Standard, Hua Hin and the highly anticipated The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon, opening in the summer of 2022.
“The Peri, Bangkok Sukhumvit, our third Peri hotel, is the next step in our regional expansion of The Peri brand,” said Amar Lalvani, Executive Chairman of Standard International. “The Peri brand, with its soulful hospitality and commitment to community and sense of place, speaks to today’s traveler who wants dependability, simplicity and authenticity to inform their experiences, and to developers who want strong, reliable and consistent operations that deliver financial performance.”
Slated to open in 2025, The Peri Hotel, Bangkok Sukhumvit will have 169 rooms, a lively lobby bar and public living area, a specialty restaurant, a gym, a pool bar and city beach club. Truly in the heart of Bangkok, the hotel is in a vibrant community alive with nightlife and entertainment, popular cafes, restaurants, offices and shopping malls. Well connected to larger Bangkok, just 550m walking distance to the Phrom Phong BTS Station (sky train), or a short cab ride to the old town of Bangkok, the hotel is the perfect place to reconnect with friends for poolside fun, cocktails or an indulgent meal. The design is comfortable and clean, with an eclectic combination of contemporary architecture, industrial interiors and mid-century furnishings.
Created and launched during the height of the pandemic, The Peri has operated with great success. The Peri hotels in Hua Hin and Khao Yai delivered positive NOI for the full year of 2021, despite the impact of the Delta and Omicron variants, and strict international travel restrictions:
- 2022 YTD revenue has grown significantly, 41% at Khao Yai and 29.7% at Hua Hin year-over-year, successfully capturing domestic demand due to its concept and brand positioning.
- F&B is a significant success story in both locations, with 40% F&B revenue in Khao Yai 37% F&B revenue in Hua Hin from the beginning of 2022
- In the latest month, Revenue generation index (RGI) of The Peri Hua Hin dominated its competitors at 116 and Average Daily Rate index (ARI) of The Peri Khao Yai is sitting above its submarket class at 135.5
- Notably, YTD mix of room revenue segmentation indicates that the direct booking portion is over 50%
Through operational success and substantive brand recognition for this new hotel brand, Peri prides itself on engaging with its guests and its local community.
Peri, like The Standard brand, is poised for significant growth with a world class operating team in place, leading operations and innovation in design, culture and culinary. Following the success of The Standard, Hua Hin, The Standard, Ibiza is now open for business, and The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon will open in the Summer of 2022, with The Standard, Singapore and The Standard, Melbourne to follow in 2023
